Upper Midwest Region Hosts:"Day of Discovery" The Christian Church in the Upper Midwest is offering a "Day of Discovery" on Saturday, September 6 at Highland Park Christian Church in Des Moines. The event is designed to to be of assistance in regard to the Regional Assembly resolution "Concerning Ordination and Disciples Polity" which is located on the Regional website. Regional Minister to Conclude Ministry in December Dr. Richard Guentert, the Regional Minister and President of the Christian Church in the Upper Midwest, announced over his retirement effective December 31, 2008. Read more.
Update On Midwest Flooding Flooding has wrought havoc in many communities throughout Iowa. As the waters recede, the hard task for cleanup and rebuilding begins. Regional Minister Richard Guentert has written a pastoral letter to churches and indivuals in the Christian Church in the Upper Midwest. Also, there will be two special meetings on June 26 to deal with the aftermath of the floods.
