In Richard's Words...
My calling to regional ministry: I am a native Kansan, born and educated through High School in Newton. Through childhood I attended the Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran and Congregational churches - before being baptized as a youth in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). My faith was nurtured through local programming, camps and conferences, and a mission trip to Mexico. Having interests in drama, forensics, and music, I eventually felt called to ministry during High School. I attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma for my B. A. degree and Phillips Theological Seminary also in Enid, Oklahoma for my M. Div. degree.| Dir. Rel. Education | First Christian Church | Liberal, KS | 1963-1964 |
