Shared Worship Resources

A group of pastors from our region who enjoy working together meet from time to time to plan shared worship series.  They have decided to share those resources with the wider church.  These materials are free for any congregation to use.

Lent 2023: Thresholds

"Wherever you're at, whether you've felt stuck or on the verge of something new and wonderful, each moment—each of our days, in the choices we have before us to make—we are standing at a threshold. We are standing before doors of possibility and the good and beautiful life God has in store for us. Truth be told, God has opened wide a door for us, and it’s a door that isn’t about to be shut.

God has traversed across the thin line between heaven and earth in Christ Jesus for us so that we might have a ‘way through’ in this life. This season, as we journey toward Easter, we are invited to reflect together about the THRESHOLDS of our lives and God’s open invitation to cross into the life Jesus has prepared for us."

Advent 2022: Expectant

“Don’t get your hopes up.” That’s the phrase we’ve heard. We’ve probably even said it. But what if we decided to go ahead and get our hopes up? Doesn’t God want us to dream big? To hold onto hope that that there is something great in store for us, and for this world!? Was not God's love for the world so great that God sent the Son among us, so that those
who live in him might not lead a futile and failing existence, but have the blessing of the very undying life of God? Jesus has come to give us hope, and more. Maybe we can get our hopes up? May we be EXPECTANT this season.

Thanksgiving 2022: Thank-full

“We are so richly blessed! And if we stop and count every gift, we are abounding, overflowing in the blessings God has
given. In this season we’ve been in, where many of us may have been feeling like we’re merely surviving, leaning into
Thanksgiving may just be the very thing we need to move our hearts into the abundance God has for us in this life.”
